About this course

This is where every journey with the Quran begins. If you can't read Arabic yet, or you can only read slowly and with mistakes, this course takes you from the very first letter to reading the Mushaf fluently on your own.

We teach with the two most trusted beginner books in the world: Al-Qaida An-Noorania and Noor Al-Bayan. Your tutor chooses the one that suits your age and learning style, and you move forward lesson by lesson with correction on every sound.

No previous knowledge of Arabic is needed. Classes are taught in clear English, so you always understand what you're learning and why.

What you'll learn

  • The 28 Arabic letters and their correct pronunciation (makharij)
  • How letters change shape at the start, middle and end of a word
  • Short vowels, long vowels, sukoon, shaddah and tanween
  • Reading connected words, then full verses
  • Basic Tajweed rules that appear from day one
