01About these terms

These terms explain how classes with Rawi Academy work. By booking a trial class or enrolling in a plan, you agree to them. If you're enrolling a child, you agree to them on the child's behalf. If you have questions, email us at [email protected].

02Free trial class

Your first class is free, with no commitment and no payment details needed. It lets you meet your tutor, check your level and decide whether our classes are right for you.

03Plans and payment

Classes are sold as monthly plans, priced at $6 per half hour of one-to-one teaching. A plan is paid through PayPal when your class schedule is confirmed, and renewed each time its lessons are used up. You can see every plan on our pricing page.

When two or more members of the same family enroll, each of them gets 10% off their monthly plan. You can change your plan or lesson length at any time.

04Rescheduling and missed lessons

• If you can't make a lesson, tell us at least 6 hours before it starts and we'll arrange a make-up lesson.
• Lessons cancelled with less notice, or missed without notice, count as taken.
• If your tutor has to cancel, you always get a make-up lesson at a time that suits you.

05Refunds

Monthly plans are not refundable once the month has been paid. Lessons you rescheduled in time but couldn't fit in before the month ended move to the following month, so you don't lose them.

06How classes run

Classes are held live on Zoom and scheduled with Google Calendar invites in your own time zone. After every lesson you receive a short report, and every three months a full progress review.

07During classes

We ask students and parents to join on time, from a quiet place with a stable connection and the camera on, and to treat tutors with respect, just as our tutors treat every student with care and respect.

How we collect and protect your personal information is explained in our privacy policy.

09Refer a friend

You can share a personal referral link from our Refer a friend page. When your friend enrolls in a monthly plan, you get two free extra lessons and your friend gets one. Each free lesson is the same length as the lessons in that person's plan. The free trial class on its own doesn't count. Rewards are added as lessons and can't be exchanged for money.

10Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page, and we'll let enrolled students know about any important change before it applies to them.
